On Thursday, May 20, at 10:30 am EST, the Treasury Department hosted the second meeting of the Financial Literacy and Education Commission. The Commission coordinates the efforts of 20 government agencies to promote financial education. Speakers at Thursday’s event included Deputy Treasury Secretary Sam Bodman, Governor Edward Gramlich of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and Carrie Schwab Pomerantz, President of the Charles Schwab Foundation.
