Coverage Areas in Skiing Insurance

Always ensure your insurance policy covers you for adequate medical coverage, you may want to consider some of the areas covered at the bottom of this page as these are the major points of coverage in most ski insurance policies.

Some ski insurance providers also offer annual policies to cover around 20 to unlimited numbers of skiing days and may apply to accidents at your local mountain as well. Be aware that most ski insurance policies carry restrictions for coverage based on your responsibility level - knowingly putting yourself at risk by skiing in roped off territory, skiing or riding while intoxicated may negate some of your ski insurance coverage.

	Ski Equipment - covers your own or rented gear in case of theft/loss
	Off Piste - covers "open" off-piste terrain, may cost extra or require licensed guide
	Piste Closure - reimburses for total trail closures due to too little/much snow
