Enhanced security measures means the checking in can take longer than it used to. It is advised that you arrive at the airport in plenty of time:

International flights - check in 2 hours prior to departure
European flights - check in 2 hours prior to departure
Domestic flights - check in 1 hour prior to departure

Hand Baggage

Avoid placing metal items in your pockets (Keys, loose change, lighters, mobile phones, pagers, and personal data assistants (PDA)). Pack your outer coat or jacket in your baggage when possible. If you choose to wear an outer coat to the checkpoint, you will need to either place it in your carry-on or put it in the bin that is provided for you. Avoid wearing clothing, jewellery, or other accessories that contain metal, when traveling. You can save time, however, by not wearing metal items or by placing such items in your carry-on baggage before you get in line. Also make sure that your hand luggage does not contain:

Scissors Razor blades Knives with blades of any length Household cutlery

Tweezers Hypodermic needles (unless required for medical reasons)

Tools Toy/replica guns (metal or plastic) Catapults

Knitting needles Sporting bats Billiard, snooker or pool cues Darts

All Luggages

Your luggage should be send through a security check prior to check-in and your person and hand luggage will be subject to X-ray inspection before boarding. These do not affect camera film or most magnetic storage systems. You can remove metal items at the security checkpoint and place them in the bins provided. The bins will be sent through the X-ray machine. Avoid wearing clothing, jewellery, or other accessories that contain metal, when traveling. Please do not pack the following anywhere in your carry on or check in luggage
