The Retreat at Split Rock is the embodiment of Judith Stanton's vision of a premier spa, garnered from personal spa experiences and her position as founder and CEO of Stanton Healthcare Group. While exploring her concept of the quintessential spa and searching for the right location in which to open it, her path intersected with that the renowned facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Neil Gordon of Greenwich and Westport, Connecticut. His vision involved a relationship with a first class day spa and Inn, where clients of his would be able to pass from the medical suites into a neighboring facility where recuperation would include treatments to nuture and heal the body and mind.
That vision has become a reality, and one where Spa staff offers a superb level of one-to-one attention in an atmosphere ideally suited for pampering, nurturing and revitalization of both mind and body.
Spa Decor
The spa décor is peaceful and relaxing, with alluring copper, warm browns and spice hues creating an intimate atmosphere. The overall mood is natural, organic, as bamboo window treatments and the weathered patina of rusted finish wall sconces join the harmonious mix of wood and warm tones, enhanced by natural light from the French doors and countless windows.

Three Acres of Senerity
|
The main house and converted barn are set on three acres of land, dotted with mature plantings, oceans of wild flowers and trees that date back centuries. A quiet stream sparkles at the rear of the property, over which a wooden footbridge spans, welcoming one into the spa facility.

Luxurious Guest Suites
|
Another fine point that sets The Retreat apart, are luxurious guest suites on the second floor overlooking the expansive property. Decorated to add to the organic nature of the antique home, sage greens and warm beiges are used to enhance the feelings of serenity and calmness.

Each spa treatment room is large and inviting with terracotta slate floors and sienna colored walls. Soothing aromas emerge from behind each doorway giving a hint of the luxurious treatments that are being imparted upon each fortunate visitor.

|
The Retreat is adjacent to the medical offices and the state-of-the-art surgical facility of nationally regarded facial plastic surgeon, Neil Gordon, MD, Richard Restifo, specialist in body plastic and reconstructive surgery, and Craig Friedman, MD, renowned for the development of facial reconstructive techniques.
