Monday, July 12FILMWith "The Night of the Iguana" (MGM, 1964) tonight, the Mary Pickford Theater opens this month after being closed during the last six months for renovations to meet ADA accessibility standards. Films are offered in July in conjunction with the Library’s "Brown v. Board at Fifty" exhibition or are nominees for the National Film Registry. Reserved seats must be claimed at least 10 minutes before showtime, after which standbys will be admitted to unclaimed seats. Wednesday, July 14CONCERTThe American Folklife Center presents the Oinkari Basque Dancers from Boise, Idaho, who perform the traditional dances brought to the United States from the Basque region of the Pyrenees Mountains, at noon in Madison Hall. The concert, one of the center’s "Homegrown 2004: The Music of America" series, is co-sponsored by the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and the Folklore Society of Greater Washington.
