Frequently Asked Questions

Add to favorites: Wedding Invitations At 30% Discount (COMMAND-D on Mac)

When should wedding invitations be ordered?

Invitations should be ordered when all of the details of the ceremony
and reception have been confirmed. You will need to know the following
information before ordering: date, time and place of your service and reception,
as well as an accurate guest list count. Wedding invitations should be ordered
at least three months before the wedding.

Does the 30% discount apply to faxed orders or showroom consultations?

No, these orders take special handling and require more of our time to process. Faxed orders will receive a 20% discount and showroom consultation get a 10% discount. To take advantage of the maximum discount, you must place your order using our online ordering system.

When should the wedding invitations be mailed out?

You should mail your invitations about six to eight weeks prior to
the ceremony. If you are inviting a lot of guests from out of state, you should
allow 8 weeks, so travel arrangements can be made well in advance.

How soon can I expect to receive my invitations once I have placed my order?

You need to allow 3 to 5 days for the printing of your invitation ensemble. You will also need to allow time for shipping. UPS ground can take up to 5 days, so if you're in a hurry, you might consider 2nd Day Air or Overnight delivery.

Is it possible to see a proof of my invitation?

Yes. The website does show you a very close approximation of what your invitation will look like, but if you prefer, you can order a proof. A proof is a black and white faxed version that shows the actual text, font and spacing of the typesetting. When ordering a proof, please call or email us prior to placing your order. This way we will hold your order to make sure we have your approval before your order is printed. An additional charge of $8 will be added to your order for the proof. When requesting a proof, make sure you allow enough time since this typically adds one week to the process.

If I don't order my inner envelopes lined, does that mean I only receive one envelope?

No. You receive both an inner and an outer envelope with the invitation part of your order. The choices of lining, and printed outer envelope will need to be considered as an option.

What are traditional invitation colors?

There are three basic colors that fall into this category: white (bright white), wedding white (ivory or cream colored), and ecru (beige). It is important to read the description of the invitation you're considering. Sometimes the wedding white is referred to as traditional white.

How do I specify that I want the names larger on the invitation?

Do the following: Sarah Ann (Bigger)
James Robert (Bigger)

Can I order extra lined envelopes and printed envelope flaps?

This is available on Regency. When viewing your shopping basket at checkout, select the top box "Extra Envelopes" for instructions.
Carlson Craft gives you the chance to order unlined envelopes and blank outer envelopes.

*FYI At checkout, Carlson Craft offers free shower Thank You notes-50 with an order of 100 invitations, 100 free with 200…

Please explain the use of Respond Folders.

Respond cards are used to give you an accurate count of guests attending the reception. If different entrees are being offered, the choices can be listed on the card. If you can't fit all of the options on the form, contact me by email or phone before placing your order.
You will need to decide who will be receiving the cards once they are mailed. Don't forget that you need to put a stamp on the respond card envelope. Another option is a respond postcard.

Are we charged sales tax?

No, unless you live in Washington State.

How can I learn more about invitation wording and specifics about lettering
and ink colors?
