Bigfoot, the legendary Monster Truck that launched one of the world’s most popular forms of motorsports entertainment, headlines the list of car-crushing machines scheduled to compete in the Pit Pass Cabarrus Monster Truck Bash presented by Quaker Steak & Lube Saturday night, Aug. 21, at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
The most unique vehicles in motorsports, Monster Trucks are typically 11-feet tall and tip the scales at nearly five tons. Their custom-built, fuel-injected engines produce between 1,500 and 2,000 horsepower and the gargantuan machines can jump 110 to 115 feet—a distance greater than 14 cars side by side—and up to 25 feet in the air.
