Check In: When you enter Liverpool airport you can find
the check-in, ticket sales and reservation desks for all
scheduled and charter services in the centre of the main
concourse. There are new monitors located throughout the
airport where recent flight information is displayed.
Tourist Information Center : Liverpool airport has
recently opened a new tourist information center which is also
on the main concourse and is now separate to the airport's own
information desk. You can find out more about Liverpool and
places to visit if you are staying there as well as details of
accommodation in Merseyside. The center also sells some
popular Liverpool memorabilia.
Liverpool Airport Shops: There are a host of new retail
and catering facilities at Liverpool airport's now after a
sustained programme of improvements. On the third floor you
can find a great choice of places to eat and drink including
Burger King, Aintree Food Village and the Estuary Bar.
The retail facilities on this level are also now open and
boast some great shops as well as Serendipity Games where kids
can enjoy a fun range of amusements.
The new boardwalk shopping area sells a range of goods, from
mobiles, sports clothing to fine chocolates.
Once through security there is a brand new duty free shopping
area in place along with an airside bar, restaurant, and WH
Smiths.
Bureau De Change: The Bureau de Change facility is
operated by Thomas Cook. Travelex has a wide range of foreign
currencies instantly available over the counter and supplies
travellers cheques in 12 different currencies including
sterling. Thomas Cook however prides itself on offering its
customers that little bit extra. For example, when you order
your currency, you will receive a free currency converter and
a Money Wise guide giving useful hints and tips about the
country you are visiting. The guide tells you lots of things,
including where to change your money, how to telephone home
and how best to get around on public transport. It even gives
you a few useful foreign phrases to help make overseas
purchases simpler.
Co-op Travel Agency: Liverpool Airport has its own
airport travel agency which is situated near the arrivals
hall. They can assist you with all your travel and holiday
needs including UK short breaks, holiday centres, flights,
package holidays, coach travel, car hire, and foreign currency
amongst other things. You can visit the shop or call them on
0151 486 6747.
Telephones: There are numerous telephones located
throughout the terminal building. If you have special needs
you can also get access to a low-level telephone which is
located on the main concourse for passengers with special
needs.
Accessibility: At Liverpool Airport all the facilities
are easily accessible either by escalator, stairs or lift. The
majority of our retail and catering facilities are on the
third floor. The lift is situated opposite the information
desk. There is also an Induction Loop System has recently been
installed to facilitate passengers with hearing difficulties.
Toilets: Toilets for passengers with special needs are
available on both the ground floor and first floor, accessible
by lift to the left of the information desk. Access to similar
toilets is also available in the departure and arrival areas.
