What does E S L mean?

E S L represents the first letters of the following words: English as a Second Language.

English as a Second Language - ESL Communication is the most popular program at VIA. Our small class sizes allow students to speak much more than in other schools with bigger classes. A combination of grammar, idioms, phrasal verbs, and pronunciation help our students improve their speaking skills quickly and effectively. Lessons are based on interesting topics, and class discussions and projects support learning natural communication skills.

Full-time: Monday to Friday
9:00 - 12:00, 1:00 - 3:00 (25 hours / week)
Semi-time: Monday - Thursday
9:00 - 12:00, 1:00 - 3:00 (20 hours / week)
Part-time: Monday - Friday
9:00 - 12:00 (15 hours / week)

VicIA ESL classes are centered around a main text with clear targets. This text is supported with additional material and activities. Students will be placed in an ESL class best suited to their level, abilities, needs, and expectations.
