Mengabong Village is a settlement of the Bajaus, who
were the famed pirates of the 19th century. At
present, the tribe is mead up of fishermen who reside
on a village built over the water. Visit the local
market where village folks sell their produce. Next,
try your balancing skills on a hanging bridge. Walk on
gangplanks that link thatched roof houses built on
stilts to the mainland. On the way back, stop at
Telipok for local hand made pottery souvenirs.
