We'd all prefer that the Government of Sudan voluntarily take the actions that it agreed to . . .So let's all work toward a resolution of this problem that doesn't require sanctions, that provides for the Government of Sudan taking the actions before the period of 30 days comes, where sanctions would be reviewed." Deadline for Biometric Passport Requirements extended by one year, when new passports issued must be biometrically enabled.

The State Department issued a report to its employees on the major accomplishments in the management area over the past three and a half years. Every Cabinet department and major agency is releasing a similar report, and the Office of Management and Budget is publishing a Government-wide report.

President Bush delivers remarks upon signing the legislation implementing the historic free trade agreement between Australia and the United States.
