Even though the Andaman Islands belong to India,
Thai Fishing Guide couldnt resist the temptation
of including this destination in our program.
Located 660 kilometers west of Phuket, these 329 islands
have no commercial fishing and have just started to open up
for sportfishing and scuba diving on a restricted basis.
Vast areas are still uncharted, but based on what is
now known, marine biologists have said that there
is no reason why this destination should not become
one of the world's absolute hot spots for sportfishing.
|
|
The underwater canyons and mountains are home
and hunting grounds to a wide range of gamefish,
such as Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Broadbill Swordfish,
Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Dogtooth Tuna, Giant Trevally,
Wahoo, King Mackerel (Tanguigue), Great Barracuda,
Dorado and more than 20 species of Shark.
Due to lack of experience in this enormous area,
these trips should be considered as a fishing safari
for adventurous anglers, who wish to explore
pristine water that has never seen a lure before.
Because of the very impressive size and power
of many of the species found at this destination,
it is not advisable to use fly fishing equipment.
Several boats have returned to Phuket with a boat
full of empty 50 and 80 lbs reels!

All trips include: |

Port Blair airport. |
