receive an email with your free shortlist of Burma scuba diving options.
The email that we send you contains the best recommendations
to match your requirements that you identified in the website
enquiry form.
Depending on your requirements, the options may include details
of the following choices:
- Dive Boat(s)
- Hotel(s)
- Training Course(s)
Important: These options are held open as available to you
only for a short time.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all options and prices
quoted in your Shortlist of Options will be available unless
you confirm within 48 hours of receiving your quote!
Therefore, you must confirm immediately to avoid disappointment
and to prevent the option being unavailable due to another
customer booking your desired option.

Price Guarantee
Special Offer
From time to time we may make certain special price guarantee
offers to you whereby we will compensate you if you are able
to book the same package for a cheaper price.
To qualify for consideration of this offer, claims must conform
to the following conditions:
- Claims are submitted in writing within 30 days of receiving
a confirmed reservation notification from us
- The comparative package is a confirmed booking for the
same dates
- The comparative package is considered cheaper if all components
of the package are identical, such as, but not limited to:
- Boat
- Hotel
- Duration
- Diving fees
- Services
- Equipment hire
Dive The World agrees to consider all claims in good faith.
If the claim is deemed valid then Dive The World agrees to
compensate claimants immediately according to the amount advertised
in the offer.
All judgements of claims are final and binding.

Confirming Your Booking
When you decide to book your desired option, then you can
confirm your bookings either by email or fax:
- Confirm by email
You can confirm an option from the shortlist by email in
one of two ways:
- Click on the hyperlink beneath the option that you
received in the shortlist email. This will create an
email reply addressed to us, containing the code of
the option that you have chosen, in the subject field.
- Send an email directly to Burma@Dive-The-World.com
identifying the option number (for example "Option
2a" or "Option 5") for your desired booking.
- Confirm by fax
You can confirm your booking by identifying your desired
option from the shortlist in a fax sent to: +66 (0) 76 344736
Please ensure that you send us all your booking details
and clearly indicate which option you desire.

Reservation Confirmation
When we receive your booking confirmation, then we will send
you an email to confirm that your booking is held open, and
instructions on how to make your Confirmed Reservation Deposit.
Confirmed Reservation Deposit
A Confirmed Reservation Deposit is payable by you, to guarantee
your reservation. The deposit required is 30% of the total
price of your booking.
Confirmed Reservation Notification
As soon as we receive your Confirmed Reservation Deposit
then we shall inform you, by email, that your reservation
is confirmed.

Cancelling Your Booking
If you decide to cancel your reservation 30 days or more
before your arrival date then we will return 100% of your
deposit, less any bank charges incurred by us. To avoid any
bank charges, you are welcome to come to our office in Patong,
Phuket to pick up your reservation deposit refund in person.
If you cancel your reservation any less than 30 days
before your arrival date then we retain the right to keep any payments in compensation for potential lost bookings.
Please inform us of any changes to your booking at the soonest
opportunity.
Boat Charter Cancellation
For a full boat charter reservation, please cancel 60
days or more before your arrival date to qualify for a
100% return of your deposit, less any bank charges incurred
by us.

Making Your Final Payment
You make your final payment of your package price (the remaining
70%) to be received by us at least 30 days before your arrival
date. Therefore, please allow time for the transaction to
be finalised before this 30 day requirement.

Payment Methods
All payment instructions are sent to you by email when a
payment is required.
Payments may be made by:
- Bank Transfer
Bank transfer from outside Thailand can be made by telegraphic
transfer, all charges are to be made by the sender. Unfortunately, banks in Thailand do not provide the same
services that we may take for granted in the West! Therefore,
please help us to help you, by sending us a fax copy of
the transfer record that includes the transaction reference
number.
- Credit Card
 You can pay by VISA or MasterCard . Please fax, email or telephone us with your:
Card number;
Cardholder name;
Card Expiry date.
For security purposes, we do not accept credit cards from other third parties.

Complaints
We are planning to provide you with the vacation you've been
dreaming about. However, life doesn't always work out how
we planned, so if you have any reason to complain then please
follow these guidelines to help us to help you in any conflict
resolution.
- Act early
Make sure that you express any dissatisfaction at the soonest
opportunity so any problem can be resolved sooner rather
than later.
- Inform the captain of the boat
Be sure to speak to your captain or cruise director. Tell
the captain exactly what your problem is, and how he can
solve your problem. In most cases, boat captains are good
diplomats capable of solving your problem to your satisfaction.
- Not joy? We can help
If your problem cannot be solved by the captain then
Dive The World Burma guarantees to represent and support
you and to attempt to resolve any settlement to a conclusion
to your satisfaction so...
- Tell us as soon as possible...
For us to represent you in any conflict resolution settlement
then we must know about all the facts, events, conversations,
agreements that are related to your complaint so...
- Keep a record
If appropriate, then take the time to write down a factual
record of what happened, when and with whom.
We'll help you to make a formal complaint, which will need
to be submitted in writing no later than 28 days after the
end of the cruise.
We will follow up and support you in your complaint to see
that you are treated fairly and get adequate compensation
for your troubles.

Liability Release and Assumption of Risk
Dive The World Burma can not be held liable for and will not be responsible for personal injuries, property damage, or wrongful death that may occur during dive activities, as a result of the inherent risks associated with scuba diving or as a result of the negligence of other third parties.

Unforeseen Events
If departure of your cruise is not advisable — or may be dangerous to the life or health of the passengers or to the boat, due to conditions such as: bad weather, perils of the sea, Acts of God, political incidents, force majeure — then the captain has the sole discretion to delay the cruise departure.
Likewise, during the cruise — if bad weather or force majeure events occur that make it inadvisable for passengers to land, or for the boat to enter port — then the captain shall have the right to delay or postpone sailing until conditions allow, and make adjustments to the itinerary that may including cancellation of calls to ports, or the re-sequencing of island visits.
Cancelled cruises entitle you to a 100% refund of monies paid, less any bank charges incurred, shortened trips to a proportionate refund, delayed trips to a choice of refund or re-scheduled trip, lengthened trips - no extra charge! Re-sequencing is not considered satisfactory justification for a refund.

Burma / Myanmar Cruises
If there is any political unrest, military conflict on the
Thai / Burma border, flight cancellations, or any other risk
to customers or vessels, then either you or Dive The World
Burma has the right to cancel the trip to this destination.
In this event, we will re-route your cruise to another destination
at no extra cost. However, in these circumstances we are unable
to consider this justification for you to cancel your cruise,
and will therefore not be able to authorise any refund or
compensation in this event.
Visa & Passport
Clients joining in Phuket or Ranong do not need to apply
for Myanmar Visas at Myanmar Embassies. You will be issued
Myanmar Entry Permits (which includes a 30 day visa) on arrival
in Kawthaung (the southernmost port of Myanmar).
Please e-mail or post us four colour passport-size photographs and a copy of the main (photograph) page of your passport to help us expedite your Burma entry.
Choice of Embarkation
You can choose to join your dive boat either from our Dive
Centre in Phuket, or you can fly directly to Ranong which
is on the Thai side of the Burma/Myanmar border.
Bangkok Airways operate flights from Bangkok (departing at
08:20 am) to Ranong (arriving at 09:40 am). Then take a taxi
from Ranong airport to Ranong Garden Hotel (Ranong), where
you will be picked up at 14:00 (2 pm).

Dive Insurance
As a student diver you are covered by our PADI Dive Centre Injury & Assistance Insurance® for dive students which has been arranged with Horsell International Pty Ltd. From the time you join Dive The World Burma for a diving course, you are fully covered under our insurance policy.
However, qualified divers should take out their own dive insurance at least one month prior to arrival, and we recommend Divers Alert Network Insurance coverage.
We also highly recommend that you take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy with cover that includes cancellation, travel and personal effects.

Medical and Health
Dive The World Burma is not qualified to give you advice
on medical matters. Therefore, be sure to discuss immunisation
and prevention of tropical ailments with your doctor and follow
their advice.
Miscellaneous
Information We Need
When you confirm your booking, please be prepared to provide
us with the following details (we'll remind you again at the
time):
- Full names of all passengers
- Indicate Mr/Mrs/Ms, and if you are a couple
- Flight arrival and departure details for all people
- Hotel arrangements including arrival date and telephone
number
- Dive equipment sizes
- Any special dietary requirements
