1. I've installed the Google Toolbar, but I can't find it. What happened?
If you do not see the Toolbar, go to View > Toolbars and click on the Google option.
Be advised that some earlier builds of IE 5.0 have a known problem with their support for toolbars. The Google Toolbar may be listed under the name 'Radio' (usually the second such listing). This may also keep the Google Toolbar from initially appearing when it is first installed. Go to View > Toolbars and click on the second radio option.
If you are using IE 6 and you are experiencing trouble downloading the Google Toolbar, please make sure the following item is enabled in your browser: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Enable third party browser extensions. This will correct the problem that causes the "Google Toolbar Command Error" to appear.
2. Can I have the Google Toolbar automatically open a new window every time I perform a search?
Yes. To do this:
- Click on the Google logo to access the drop down menu.
- Select Toolbar Options.
- Make sure the 'Open New Window for Results Pages' box is checked.
3. I am trying to install the Google Toolbar, but I get an error message that reads "Google Toolbar Command Error." What should I do?
If you are using IE 6 and you are experiencing trouble downloading the Google Toolbar, please make sure the following item is enabled in your browser: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Enable third party browser extensions. This will correct the problem that causes the "Google Toolbar Command Error" to appear.
If you find yourself on this page during an attempt to reinstall the Google Toolbar after having recently uninstalled it, you may need to log out of or restart Windows, then attempt the install again.
