Sides and belly silvery white.
Sloping head with soft flesh around the mouth.
Very long and transparent dorsal and anal fins.
Temperature range:
18 - 30 Celsius (65 - 86 Fahrenheit).
Typical location:
Around flotsam, weed lines and FADs.
Near wrecks and reefs.
Fishing methods:
Drifting or at anchor with small live fish, squid or prawn.
Jigging over wrecks or deep water reefs.
Fighting characteristics:
Powerful and fast strike.
A deep fighter that heads for obstructions on the sea bed.
