Identification:
Brown back with black spots, white sides and belly.
Large red tail and red edge on the black dorsal fin.
Flat and wide head with long whiskers.
Typical location:
At the bottom of the deeper waters in rivers, streams and lakes.
Fishing methods:
Live bait fishing with mullet, crab or small catfish.
Bottom fishing with chicken liver.
Fighting characteristics:
An extreamly powerful fish that just keeps on pulling.
