Grey Reef Shark

Identification:
Upper body grey-brown.
Lower body white.
Streamlined torpedo-shaped body with five gill slits.
Dark edges on second dorsale and anal fins.
A powerful tail with long upper lobe and black edges.
Temperature range:
18 - 30 Celsius (64 - 86 Fahrenheit).
Typical location:
In strong current over coral reefs.
Along current lines and temperature changes.
Around logs, flotsom and baitfish.
Fishing methods:
At anchor or drifting with live and dead bait often in combination with chum.
Fighting characteristics:
A tough fighter with fast runs, dives to the seabed, rolls on the leader
and constant direction changes.
