Identification:
Bronze back and silvery white sides and belly.
A broad head with depressed snout and a deeply cleft mouth.
Two pairs of barbels and small eyes.
Small dorsal fin and a very long anal fin.
Typical location:
Usually found over muddy bottom in the deep waters of rivers,
streams canals and lakes.
Fishing methods:
Bottom fishing with small live or dear fish.
Bottom fishing with molluscs, earth worm or fish filets.
Fighting characteristics:
A stubborn, strong and powerful fish.
Long and tough runs in search for obstructions on the bottom.
