DAY 1   BANGKOK - CHIANGMAI

Pick up at your hotel in Bangkok, and transfer to the railway station for taking the Day Train from Bangkok to Chiangmai (OPTIONAL BY PLANE). One can enjoy seeing the beautiful scenery of the Thailand’s countryside. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy traditional Khantoke Dinner with Northern-style cuisine and hilltribe musics & dances.

DAY 2 CHIANGMAI (B)

Breakfast. Visit one of the most sacred temple of the North - Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, built on hilltop in Northern-Thai style and containing holy relic of Lord Buddha and enjoy seeing panoramic view of the whole city. Afternoon, tour to the famous Handicraft Village known as ‘Home Industries’, where you can see local skills in silk weaving, wood carving, silver & lacquerware making & the making of colorful paper umbrellas.

DAY 3: CHIANGMAI - CHIANGRAI (VIA THATON OF KOK RIVER) (B,L)

Breakfast. By road in the morning from Chiangmai to Thaton and enjoy scenic boat trip along the Kok River to Shan Hilltribe Village. Proceed on by car to visit ethnic hilltribe villages of Akha, Lisu and Lahu. Lunch en-route. Arrive in Chiangrai and overnight.

DAY 4: CHIANGRAI - GOLDEN TRIANGLE -CHIANGMAI (B,L)

Breakfast. Excursion to the world famous “Golden Triangle”, and then to the Maesai Border where borders of Thailand, Laos, and Burma meet. Lunch and return to Chiangmai.

DAY 5: CHIANGMAI - MAEHONGSON (B,L)

Depart Chiangmai to MAEHONGSON, city of the mountain mist. On the way, sightseeing includes visit of the ethnic hilltribes of Lisu and Lahu Villages and the fascinating Lod Cave. Arrive in Maehongson, overnight in hotel.

DAY 6: MAEHONGSON - PAI RIVER (GIRAFFE WOMEN) (B,L)

Breakfast. Morning, enjoy an exciting ride on Elephant for two hours into the jungle. Lunch. Afternoon, take an impressive and unforgettable boat trip along the PAI RIVER to see the GIRAFFE WOMEN of the Padong Hilltribe. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: MAEHONGSON - CHIANGMAI

Breakfast. Sightseeing to PRA THAD DOI KONG MOO on the top of a mountain where one can see the peaceful Maehongson City in the mist. Visit the Burmese-style temples of WAT PHRA THAD JONG KAM and JONG KLANG. Transfer to Maehongson Airport for flight to Chiangmai.

DAY 8: CHIANGMAI - BANGKOK (B)

Breakfast. Free day at leisure for shopping. Transfer from hotel to the airport or train station for taking air-conditioned sleeper train to Bangkok (Arrive next morning).
