I have reviewed most of the comments on this hotel and as a former employee would like to offer a non-bias opinion of the property. Most of the negative comments stem from improper management prior to July 2003. The hotel was changed over and a new firm now has control of the daily events and guest relations dilemma seen in previous comments. For 2004, everyone should see the changes that makes the largest property in the Norfolk area one of the best. The renovation of rooms and staff have been greatly motivated to impress even the hardest critics. The new menus and culinary delights have been re-invented and hopfully will entice the pallets of our pickiest eaters. I no longeer work for the firm but do hope that through the eyes of a former employee with a vast knowledge of the hospitality industry, all viewers try the "new" Norfolk Waterside Marriott.
