La Lohuas has over 4 acres of gardens and quiet secluded woodland with a large play area for children of all ages. Each gite has been completely modernised and is fully equipped for the perfect family holiday. There is plenty to do on-site and close to local towns markets and beaches.

The gites are within easy reach of many of the fabulous beaches and attractions in the area. Ideally situated to explore and discover the beautiful medieval walled town of Dinan on the River Rance, with its castle, squares, shops and restaurants - open all year round. There are many other historic towns to visit such as St Malo, Lamballe, Dinard and Combourg. Parks, chateaux, shops, markets, golf courses, horse riding, fishing and sailing are all available locally. There are parks for all the family featuring numerous attractions such as an excellent water park (Cobac Park), trains, boats, mini golf, karting and impressive gardens. There are two zoos within 15 minutes drive of the gites. St Malo hosts a large aquarium with a spectacular doughnut shaped shark tank and the amazing Nautibus underwater ride. The classic tourist spot of Mont St Michel, a picturesque monastry set on a granite top. There are many high quality golf courses. Tee off times and club hire can be arranged by your hosts. La Lohuas is a farmhouse set in over 4 acres of gardens surrounded by rolling fields and wooded countryside making this the perfect location to start any holiday. Our farmhouse gites, Pomme, Poire and Cerise, are only 5 minutes drive from the medieval town of Dinan, about 25 minutes drive from St Malo and the beaches on the north coast of Brittany. Facilities onsite include a fenced children's play area suitable for all children, with swings, slides, and a trampoline. Also here are lawns for football, croquet, boule and badminton. Away from the children's area, there is a larger secluded and tranquille area with many trees and a pretty stream. The three gites are amazingly spacious and have been sympathetically modernised to give you practical and beautiful accommodation. The gites are situated in a courtyard around the main house. They are all constructed with traditional Breton stone walls under a slate roof, helping to keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Each gite has their own south-facing terrace with patio furniture and barbeque. Each gite has been extensively refurbished and fitted to a high standard. The British owners, Ian and Caroline Haycox, live on-site and are always available to help make the most of your stay. They provide local knowledge to help you to find activities suitable to your own interests. Speaking fluent French, they will help you to overcome the language barrier, thus making it easy to experience French and Breton culture first hand.

Pomme is a 2 bedroomed gite. The front of the gite faces west, so the terrace attracts the evening sun. There are small windows to the rear which overlook the play area and grounds. The living/dining room has exposed beams and a ceramic tiled floor. There is a table and chairs to seat six and sofa, rocking chair and chaise longue. Stairs lead up to the mezzanine double bedroom. Please note that the stairs are quite steep but are fitted with a stairgate. The kitchen has been refitted with modern, country style units including stainless steel electric fan oven, gas hob and cooker hood. There is a fridge with separate freezer compartment, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker and toaster. The master bedroom, with a double bed, is a cosy room set in the eaves of this beamed cottage. The staircase, fitted with a stairgate, leads into this room. Bedroom 1 has a door that leads into this second twin bedded room with a Velux window.

Poire is a 2 bedroomed gite. The south-facing terrace is equipped with patio furniture and barbecue, and overlooks the raised water feature at the front of La Lohuas. The living room is light and airy with a homely feel containing a 3 seater sofa and additional sofa bed. The recently redecorated living room retains the original exposed oak beams. This gite has a refitted kitchen with modern, country style units including stainless steel electric fan oven, gas hob and cooker hood. There is large fridge with separate freezer compartment, microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker and toaster. A beautiful master bedroom with four-poster bed and ensuite shower room with toilet, there is a separate hand basin situated within the room. A spacious twin bedded room with hand basin, Velux window and feature oak beams. There is an ensuite shower room. A stairgate is provided at the top of the staircase for the safety of younger children.

Cerise is a spacious three bedroomed gite split over two floors. The terrace at the front is equipped with patio furniture and barbecue and faces south. The living area is open plan with exposed beams and a ceramic tiled floor. There is a new fitted kitchen area with fan oven and gas hob with extractor hood, microwave oven, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. The kitchen area has been designed so that food can be prepared, but without the need to be excluded from the rest of the holiday fun. There is a dining table and chairs and a comfortable lounge area with a 3 seater sofa and separate sofa bed. There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is a light and airy south-facing bedroom with a double bed and fitted wardrobe for hanging space. This room has an ensuite bathroom with shower, wc and basin. There is ample room for a cot in this room. The other two bedrooms are both twin bedded rooms with Velux windows. A separate bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin is available on the first floor for bedrooms two and three. A stairgate is provided at the top of the staircase for the safety of younger children.
