Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage will be honored along with Gale Sayers, Bill Parcells, David Robinson, Jerry Jones and others at the 39th Annual Dallas All Sports Association [DASA]banquet on Sept. 24. The annual banquet honors those exhibiting excellence in athletics, character and citizenship from both college and professional sports. Gossage was selected by the organization to receive its "Motor Sports Award" for 2004. The award, which was established by DASA in 2000, is given each year to the person in motorsports who has been a significant influence or factor for Texas Motor Speedway. Gossage was chosen by the DASA selection committee this year for his efforts to secure a second NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race for Texas.
