The Upper Belvedere (Oberes Belvedere) houses a gallery of 19th- and 20th-century Viennese art, featuring works by Klimt (including his world-famous painting ‘The Kiss’), Kokoschka, Schiele, Waldmuller, and Makart; the Lower Belvedere (Unteren Belvedere) has a Baroque museum together with exhibits of Austrian art of the Middle Ages.
