The schedule features a wide variety of action, ranging from 900-horspeower sprint cars to the breath-taking thrills of Freestyle Motocross.

The sprint cars of the United States Auto Club are on the schedule and the late model stock cars of the O'Reilly Southern All-Star Racing Series make three appearances.

The New York-based DIRT modifieds, Monster Trucks and the Grassroots Nationals, a major event for local racers, are also part of the annual schedule.

Several of the races at The Dirt Track are run in conjunction with events at Lowe's Motor Speedway, making for a action-filled day of motorsports.

J.J. Yeley, who drives in selected NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series events for Joe Gibbs Racing, will return to his racing roots Wednesday night, Oct. 13, when he competes in the USAC Valvoline Sprint Car portion of the Mopar Sprint Car Nationals at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Yeley, the 2003 USAC Valvoline Sprint Car Series champion, is scheduled to drive the No. 75 sprint car owned by noted Mopar engine builder Gary Stanton.

Yeley, a second-generation racer from Phoenix, Ariz., became only the second driver to win the USAC Triple Crown, earning the Silver Crown, sprint car and midget titles in the same season.
