J.J. Yeley, who drives in selected NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series events for Joe Gibbs Racing, will return to his racing roots Wednesday night, Oct. 13, when he competes in the USAC Valvoline Sprint Car portion of the Mopar Sprint Car Nationals at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Yeley, the 2003 USAC Valvoline Sprint Car Series champion, is scheduled to drive the No. 75 sprint car owned by noted Mopar engine builder Gary Stanton.
Yeley, a second-generation racer from Phoenix, Ariz., became only the second driver to win the USAC Triple Crown, earning the Silver Crown, sprint car and midget titles in the same season.
