Survey: People willing to take pay cut for more free time
SAN FRANCISCO What's worth more to you, time or money? Many people say they are willing to take a pay cut for more flexible work hours.An online survey from San Francisco-based Tickle Incorporated finds about half those asked are willing to give up five percent of their pay for a more flexible work schedule. About a quarter are willing to take a 15 percent pay cut.Doctor Courtney Johnson -- director of research for the online dating, career, and networking company -- says people are looking for a better work-life-balance.Johnson says some people also want company on-the-job -- from their dogs. She says their survey finds six percent of those asked would take a pay cut if they could bring a pet to work.
