Applicants: To be considered for employment, applicants must submit an employment application and participate in our clerical testing process. Testing is conducted every Monday, Tuesday and on Wednesday at 8:00 am, 9:30 am and 1 pm -- no appointment is necessary. The Human Resources Department is located on the 9th floor of the Governmental Center building, 301 N Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach (1 block east of the Courthouse). Part-time positions in lieu of full-time may be available upon management recommendation.
Current Employees: Please submit a completed Request for Transfer Application (with Manager's signed approval) to Human Resources by the internal closing date as stated on the posting. Clerk I {File} - $9.83
File documents alphabetically and numerically; assist customers; accept
payments; and other duties as assigned. Ability to file alphabetically and
numerically, be detail oriented, accurate, and organized. Ability to communicate
effectively in oral and written English. Experienced in meeting the needs of
both internal and external customers with emphasis in quality service. Ability
to interact with others in a professional manner. Skilled in the use of office
equipment, software, and personal computers. Ability to type 25 cwpm. Ability to
lift 35 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and to sit or stand for up to 7 hours a

Prepare calendar posting; courtroom relief; weekly courtroom coverage in felony
arraignments and drug court at Gun Club; provide information regarding cases,
payments & record searches to attorneys, agency staff and the public; set court
dates on new and reset cases via computer and notify all involved parties;
retrieve information from the computer system; and other duties as assigned.
