HOTEL SAVOY - Via Ludovisi 15The Hotel Savoy is located in
one of the most authentic parts of Rome, on the corner of the legendary Via Veneto.
Situated in an elegant Umberto I style palazzo, the hotel was built in 1886 as
a luxurious residence for the upper class. Its name is a tribute to Queen Margaret
of Savoy who, in the early 20th century, stayed at the palazzo Margherita next
door. The Hotel Savoy made history as the "historical hotel of the March
on Rome", and was chosen for the interior of Federico Fellini's film "Ginger
and Fred". |
