The Energy Efficiency Partnership for Homes is a network of over 250 organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors. By working together we aim to reduce the energy consumed by UK households as well as the number of people who are unable to sufficiently heat their homes during winter (known as “fuel poverty”).

What's New: Action for Healthy Homes section Launched The Partnership Health Group have launched the Action for Healthy Homes section which is aimed at local authorities, energy efficiency and health professionals, and promotes good practice in alleviating health inequalities through improving living conditions.

		Cutting the price of energy efficient lighting The Energy Efficiency Partnership's Lighting Strategy Group has introduced two exciting new schemes designed to substantially increase the uptake of energy efficient lighting. The first will see independent retailers selling energy efficient lightbulbs for just over £2, while the second will result in energy efficient light fittings being offered at similar prices to conventional ones. Both schemes have been developed in conjunction with the Lighting Association, with funding from British Gas.

		THE NEW DIRECTIVE ON THE ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF BUILDINGS On the 9th November, the Partnership will be holding a one-day event on the Directive explaining how it will be implemented and examining issues for different sector groups. In this article, we provide some background information on the Directive and talk to some of the sector groups about their views on it.
