Rising out of the red
Reducing an annual budget deficit of $1 million to $300,000 last year is something to get excited about.
At least that's what Ka'u Hospital administrators say.
"There was a real fear that the hospital would close," said Josh Green, Ka'u Hospital's medical director. "This is the first year we haven't had that threat. We're saving money and cutting down the budget."
