Periodically, the UCP Research and Educational Foundation develops reports summarizing for the general public the status of research in areas of significance to the prevention of cerebral palsy and to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities due to developmental brain damage.

The reports document what is known about the area, identifies the critical research issues being addressed and discusses selected priorities of the Foundation's research program in that area. Each Research Status Report is prepared by Foundation staff and is reviewed for content and accuracy by consultant experts in the research area.
