With the approval of a digital signature law in late 2002, the Brazilian government mandated that all Brazilian financial institutions must offer PKI-enabled secure transactions as part of the country's new Electronic Payment System. Per an agreement with Entrust, Caixa will purchase Entrust Digital IDs to be issued to its 1.4 million online banking customers, enabling them to securely access their saving accounts and execute transactions. |
