Composite Panel
Composite Panel was designed to meet the needs of tomorrow’s
industry, today.
Composite panel was designed to meet the challenges and shortcomings
inherent with traditional manufacturing and construction materials.
Marketplace demands and industry standards demand efficiency and efficacy.
Sandwich panel provides a lightweight structural solution that possesses
superior structural and tensile strength allowing for diversity in design
and a vast array of industrial and commercial applications.
It is used largely for interior and exterior structures and is
fast becoming the material of choice for architects and designers; is used
in the design of architectural products such as fascia, cladding, canopies,
entryways and column covers. Also used extensively in the
retail market for such diverse applications as store fixtures for food
service merchandisers, ATM Kiosks, and signage.
Flat or contoured design and varying thickness and rigidity of honeycomb
core panels allows for many applications. Where end presentation is
important, panel aesthetics are taken into consideration of the final
product while not compromising superior composition and high compressive
strength
It is designed to withstand extreme seasonal elements; in the
manufacturing of portable building units in the far North in the oil and
mining exploration industries to applications in the aircraft industry and
high heat applications.
It possesses a higher strength-to-weight ratio than traditional
materials allowing better economy, greater load capacity, and increased
efficiency. In addition, composites possesse dynamic rigidity and is
able to withstand extreme wear and tear due to loading stresses and
mechanical strain. Flawless surface workability resulting from innovative
composition provides advanced structural integrity and the strength to carry
both light and heavy loads. Different materials can be used to provide
varying dynamics and strength to weight ratios according to design
specifications.
Elastic stiffness refers to a panel’s resistance to deflection. By varying
composition and thickness, structural stress and damage due to deflection
are minimized. Sandwich panels are uniformly bonded so the structure is
proportionally stable in intense or unpredictable environmental conditions.
When shock and impact loads are an issue the honeycomb cell size can be
adjusted to achieve different compression strengths. Many types of skin
materials, cores, and adhesives are used in the manufacture of composite
panel to provide diversity and varying compression strength, again,
according to client specifications.
