If you come by boat down the west coast and land at Kwandang, take a minibus Rp5-600 one hour's drive south to Gorontalo. In the rainy season it's more difficult to reach. Gorontalo is a small town, like an overgrown Inobonto. Few vehicles. Young girls use colorful sarongs as veils. Across the street from the bemo station, 15 minutes walk from Namseng Losmen, is a good fruit and vegetable market. vicinity of Gorontalo: Dahawalolo, 13 km from Gorontalo, has the best panorama of 2 m deep Limboto Lake; also has a bathing place with pools of 5 different temperatures. INOBONTO
Rp500 from Kotamobagu, buses leaving daily. A pleasant place to hang in, quiet and no motor traffic except for honking buses announcing their departures. Like Mexico, sleepy and lazy. There are also many boats carrying copra between Inobonto and Bitung; ride along for Rp2500-3000.
