Taishan Buddha's Eyebrow Green Tea - Special Offer - Buy Now!

We are a different kind of tea company...

At Seven Cups
we want to help you find the best teas on the market. Tea is the most commonly consumed beverage in the world, yet the vast majority of western consumers know very little about it. This suits the tea industry, as they can sell poor quality tea in neatly-packaged tea bags for a huge profit. For example, over 60% of the tea consumed in North America is actually mass-produced and machine harvested in South America.

We are dedicated to advancing the public's knowledge of tea and tea culture. We are currently trying to focus on our tea descriptions by translating old Chinese literature so that we can include history and myth, as well as other interesting information. Of course, the best way to learn is by tasting. We will give you some guidelines,  but the experience is really yours.  We  are

incredibly busy running our tea house and wholesale business, and sometimes we are slow at getting things onto the website, but we are really committed to providing good information about tea. We especially love the questions we get from people all over the world. If we can’t answer the question then we pass it over to our friends in China. They are all Tea Masters and are excited to help.

Of course we want to sell our tea, but more importantly, we really want to educate people about the fine teas of China.

Seven reasons you should choose Seven Cups

1 The very best green, black, white, oolong and puer teas in the world
All of our teas are personally hand-selected from the most famous tea farms in China. After almost a decade of inspecting facilities, meeting growers and tasting tea, we know we have the finest quality teas in existence. Please browse our tea selection to find out more.

2 Our three promises and full money back guarantee
One of our tea pickers returns with a fresh harvest
We are so confident in the quality of our teas and the people who produce them that we are able to offer a full money back guarantee - if you can find a better tea for the same price, or a comparable tea for a cheaper price, we promise to refund you for your purchase. We also have a fair trade promise to the workers in China who produce our teas, and a promise to protect the Chinese environment.

3 Our unique personal relationships with the world's most famous tea farms
We are the only jointly owned American-Chinese tea company owned by a certified Chinese Tea Master, and the only company that has personal friendships with China's most respected tea growers. We have exclusive rights to export from the most famous tea farms, including the original Lapsang farm, the world's oldest tea farm at Meng Ding, the original white tea farm, and the legendary WuYi Mountain tea gardens that grow first generation Rock Oolongs - you simply can't find these genuine teas anywhere else!

4 Importing directly guarantees quality
The usual route for tea to reach the Western world is via any number of merchants, brokers, tea markets and dealers. 'Chinese whispers' can increase the quality of ordinary teas, so that by the time they reach our shores thay have somehow become the finest grade! By importing directly from the farmers, highly regarded professionals who we know and consider personal friends, we can guarantee the tea is exactly what we say it is. We have personally inspected the farms and have organic certifications from USDA, IMO, and the Chinese and Japanese governments.

5 Importing directly guarantees freshness
When tea is sold on the open market, it goes from the farm to the farm's broker, and then onto a tea market, where merchants buy it and then resell it to importers and packing companies. And there may be any number of extra layers in between. The tea can be held up for weeks or months at each one of these stages as buyers are sought and prices negotiated. By dealing directly with the farms, we have our delivery times down to six weeks from the time of harvest to your door - we can guarantee the freshness of our tea.

6 Importing directly guarantees the best prices
Unlike the big companies, we don't feel the need to squeeze our friends on the farms for lower and lower prices - they get a fair price for a great product. Similarly, we want to offer our customers value for money, so we don't take huge profit margins. But by missing out layer upon layer of profiteering middle men, we can sell the very best teas at prices comparable, or even cheaper than some very ordinary teas elsewhere. We think this is the way that all business should be done!

7 We are genuine tea lovers; we really do care!

The development of our company has been a decade in the making. Everyone involved with Seven Cups teas has been an enthusiastic tea drinker for many years. We have a passion for our products and our jobs; we feel proud and very privileged to be involved in the tea industry. We want to share our experience so that we can all benefit from the healthiest and most popular beverage in the world.

We offer a full range of teas - green tea, black tea, white tea, yellow tea, oolong tea, loose leaf puer tea and puer cakes
