Hiring Someone Else to Run the Administration of Your Small Business

In order for your small business to run smoothly, you need to outsource some of the administration work to others. Regardless of how small your business is. Let's take a look at some of the options you have.

Hiring an Employee to Run the Administration Process for Your Small Business.

This is, by far, one of the most popular methods. Take a look at the classified section of your local newspaper and see how many people are actually hiring secretaries, clerks, typists, personal assistances...etc. Women come in handy when it comes to administration work although I don't think you'll find a lot of people naming 'administration' as their preferred profession. However, there are tons of people out there who are capable of, have the experience to and is talented in organizing things for others.

The good point of about hiring someone permanent to handle all the administration work for your small business is that the employee is reachable at all times, is there when you need her/him. You also have him/her at your beck and call during office hours. Yes, during office hours, which brings us to the bad point. Employees for this function don't normally like to work overtime.

After all, they are committed to their jobs only during office hours, unlike sales and marketing employees who would go out on a limb for your small business because they have a commission to earn, right? Administration staff don't, therefore, if there's anything urgent to do, you're on your own. You would also need to give your employee some form of training so that they can perform your work for you as quickly as you want them to or as efficiently.

But most administration staff are quick to learn and often they don't need much training at all.

A Part-Time Employee to Handle the Administration Work for Your Small Business is a Good Alternative Because it Costs You Less Overhead.

You can block off certain time of the day or week purely for administration work. The administration staff you would employ for this task should be able to come in at a predetermined time and date to handle all the administration work for your small business. Often, for a small business, it's good enough because sometimes there just isn't that much administration work to do.

But the disadvantage is that you only have full access to him/her only during those predetermined working hours...outside of it, you're on your own. You will also need to cover for insurance, savings, tax, medical benefits...etc...like any other full-time employee unless the law in your country does not require you to do so.

Getting a Contracted Worker to Handle All the Administration Work for Your Small Business is a Good Option Too.

You can either get someone to come in once in a while, as and when you need her/him and pay her for a per project basis or you can get someone to type invoices or things from their home. Both of which is a good idea but it limits their functions to work that does NOT require them to be physically present in your office.
