So you have decided to have special time with your child every day away from your home business, but what will you do? This is where a lot of work at home parents get stumped. What can a fully-grown adult and a child do together that they will both enjoy besides eating? There are several things you may want to consider.

Is there something you want your child to learn from you, like a hobby or craft? Do you have a talent you would like to pass on that you could teach her? Small children love to copy Mommy and Daddy feel grown-up when they start to master something that they've seen their parents do.

Also, don't overlook the power of sharing memories. There is a world of lessons your child can learn from just listening to stories from your childhood or funny things that happened while working on your home business. Your child may get an insight into your world, and decide maybe the two of you are more alike than he thought, not to mention enjoying the time that the two of you are spending together.

Consider what habits you want to instill in your child, too. Do you want her to pick up a book instead of the remote control or a video game controller? Try reading with your as much as possible. Not only does this allow you to spend time with your child when your not with your home business, but you are also instilling the love of reading.

Teach Responsibility, Have More Time for Your Home Business

Teaching your child to be responsible can also become a chance to bond, as well as giving you more time to work on your home business. Find a chore or job that your child can do with you, like washing the dishes or picking up the living room.
