When you apply for a credit card the interest rate should be your major concern.
this is how much money you will be paying on the purchases you make. A few points in interest can add up to a lot of money spent or a lot of money saved.
When you apply for a credit card you should do your research and make sure you are applying for a credit card with the lowest interest rate.
Credit card interest rates depend on your credit score as well. The better your credit the lower the rate and the lower your credit score the higher the rate you will pay so do your best to spend responsibly and make your payments on time. You'll be glad you did and have the money in your savings account to prove it!

If I Apply for a Credit and Am Approved do I Have to Take the Card?
If you apply for a credit card and are approved you will sent a card. It is good practice not to apply for credit you do not want or need. If you do get approve and change your mine about getting the credit card and decide you don't want it you should not activate the card when you receive it. There will be a toll free number included with your new credit card and you should call that number to cancel the card. If you do not cancel the card it will show as active on your credit report.
Even though you never use the card it could hinder your chances for future loans because there is a credit limit that will show on your debt ratio even though the credit card hasn't been used. Any application that you fill out that effects your credit should be taken seriously. If you're offered credit and decide later that you don't want it cancel it immediately.
