Why should you not start a home business. You probably already have great idea in mind. You are a smart person, so it should at least have a chance of working, unless you thought of at 3 in the morning last night with your buddies. Then again, a lot of good ideas have come at that time of the night. What you need is a push to get out there and start your own home business. Get away from that job that you hate to go to so much.
The one that you complain about to your family and loves ones, when ever they lend an ear. They do care, but you have tortured them long enough. What ever idea you have that you think can work. It is time to go with it. You have taken long enough procrastinating.
Getting Your Home Business Started
Now is the time to get your home business started. You to first figure out what it is that you like to provide to the world. Do you want to sell peanuts, CD cases, or bobby pins. What ever you want to do, there is a way to have your own small business to do it. Since you are going to run your business out of your home, you will need to designate space to serve as your home office. Make sure that your friends and families respect this space and do not treat it as just another place in your home.
Have them know when you intend to operate business hours and tell them not to call your business phone during these times unless it is important. You will also need to equip your home business with the proper technology to help facilitate your small business that you started. You will need to get a fax machine, businesses and mobile phones, web access, scanners, etc. Make certain that the equipment that you get is good. There is no reason to buy bad or shoddy equipment that will break in a week.
You will just be left without money and unable to fill work orders, thus paralyzing your business.
If you need insurance, see if you can get on your old job's insurance plan through COBRA. You can usually get added on to this continuing insurance program for 3 three months after you leave your old job. Hopefully, you have saved at least 4-6 months salary to get you through the lean times that your small business will incur, when it gets off of the ground.

This is your chance to have a flexible schedule and put out products or services of which you can be proud and about which you truly care.
