When Your Home Business is Not Successful

When Your Home Business is Not Successful

No Successful Home Business Comes Easily

If you are one of the thousands of people involved in a home business today that is not successful, is failing or has already failed, consider your own character. Think about all of the millions of workers in the world that tremble in their boots when they think of quitting a secure job with a secure income and a secure retirement plan. Think about how much courage it takes to step out of the mainstream and into the risky branches of self-employment.

Think about how much drive, discipline, and determination you possess to have been able to even try to work for yourself, compared with all those lemmings out there who live mediocre lives with median incomes because they have no dreams, no ambition, and no guts. Remember that there are no free lunches, that nothing comes without an equal price, and that you cannot appreciate the mountaintops if you have not experienced the deepest valleys. A successful home business does not come easily.

You must be able to persist in the face of outnumbered odds, in the face of doubt and perhaps even ridicule from the public or prior co-workers, and in the face of financial ruin.

Your First Home Business Will Probably Not be Successful

Statistics show that the average entrepreneur fails at two business ventures before finally succeeding at the third. If this is your first home business, and it is not successful, take heart! You are in the company of greatness. The most important thing is that you can rationally analyze your failure to discover areas where you made key errors, either in action or in judgment. Knowing why you have failed is the key to being successful later.

Be sure to learn from your failures, and carry this learning into your next business venture. Let this learning serve to fill you with confidence for the next enterprise, knowing that you will never make the same mistake twice. Finally, know that in the end, the underdog always wins. It's the American way!

Turn Your Failure into a Successful Home Business

If this was your first or even your second home business to fail, know that the statistics are with you now. Make sure you remember your errors and learn from them. Try to use them to steer your course into previously uncharted territory -- perhaps in the form of a new product or a new market niche. Remain optimistic and look to the future, instead of reliving the defeats and depressions of the past. Take heart that you have attempted something most people only dream of.

Get some more education in your field of expertise. Start your newest venture immediately on the heels of your latest failure. Finally, and most importantly, use your hard-gained wisdom to help some other struggling entrepreneur. Your encouragement and live stories could be the very impetus he needs to pull him through a particularly tough and discouraging time. If you do not give up, you will succeed!
