Ballaghadereen is a coarse angling centre located in North Co Roscommon, one mile from the Lung River in the west of Ireland on the national primary route, the N5, 15 miles from Knock Airport, 30 miles from Sligo and 50 miles from Galway.

WHERE TO FISH

The Lung river is 18 miles long with 6 major connecting lakes rising in Cloonaugh, Urlaur, Errit, Cloonaholly, Loughglynn and drains into Lough Gara, north of Ballaghadereen town. The size of these lakes varies from 500 - 2000 acres.

The Lung system is a tributary to the Shannon and it's sister river the Breedoge, Frenchpark. The system is one of the important angling centres in the region and has plenty of fishing to offer.
