Welcome to the Bureau of Human Resources Office of Career Development and Assignments (HR/CDA) new Internet web site!

CDA is responsible for counseling and assigning all of the almost 9,000 Foreign Service career generalists and specialists of the U.S. Department of State, as well as non-Foreign Service personnel serving in FS positions overseas.

The purpose of this web site is to enable Foreign Service employees scheduled to bid during the upcoming Assignment Cycle -- wherever in the world they may be -- to access the information they need in order to comply with the latest bidding requirements.  Our goal is to make the annual assignments and transfer process as simple, straightforward and transparent as possible.
