Over 70 million Americans suffer from digestive disorders.  Ultimate Enzymes can aid in improved digestion.

In the US, almost 50% of the population has heartburn at least once a month; 7% suffer from it daily.  Ultimate Enzymes are effective in reducing heartburn.

*More than 90% of the food eaten by the average American is cooked or processed at temperatures greater than 118° F. The heat involved, whether it comes from microwaving, steaming, broiling, roasting, pasteurizing, sautéing, stir frying or any other source, destroys food enzymes. The result is incomplete digestion, less nutrition, greater stress on your digestive system, which can lead to more digestive problems.

  Enzyme Deficiency Consequences:
According to the Surgeon General's report on nutrition and health, eight out of ten leading causes of death in the United States are diet-related. Digestive complaints including everything from acid reflux to colon cancer result in more time lost at work, school and play than any single health related problem. Many of these health problems such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome and many others were rare or non-existent less than a century ago. Certainly our modern diet in which we consume mostly foods without live enzymes is part of the problem. Our increasingly worsening enzyme deficiencies results in a progressive failure to properly digest proteins, fats, sugars, starches and other carbohydrates, which may cause a great variety of diseases. Supplementing your natural enzymes can be very helpful in addressing these enzyme deficiencies

What your Doctor should tell you about enzymes
The health of almost every system in your body has its foundation in food consumption and digestion. That is why digestive enzyme supplements can have such a profound affect on the health of your body...

What Enzymes Do
Enzymes are complex protein molecules that are found in every cell in your body. Enzymes can become activated, and are capable of specific tasks such as, the production of energy or exchange of oxygen, and carbon dioxide, when we breathe. They are able to transfer energy to other molecules, making it easier for them to be produced, and utilized by the body, creating a domino effect, and therefore, speeds up all bodily functions. Our body contains 1,300 different enzymes that break down nutrients, rebuild cells, and cause the body to function disease-free.

The digestive system transforms food into energy for the body's use by breaking down complex proteins, fats and carbohydrates into smaller, simpler, and more usable forms. Without this transformation, digestion and assimilation of nutrients is difficult to impossible. Your health is more overtaxed, and abused by excesses of processed foods, and stimulants: baked flour, dairy, and, caffeine, soft drinks, sugar, and alcohol. Digestion begins with the sight and smell of food that stimulates the secretion of enzymes. The tasting and chewing allows saturation of the salivary enzyme, amylase, which breaks down the starch to glucose when chewing potato or bread. The pH drops to an acid range as low as four or five. The upper portion of the stomach called the fundus continues to use amylase and other enzymes for predigestion. The stomach contents are then passed through the pyloric valve into the small intestine where it is mixed with pancreatic juices. These juices are rich in enzymes such as protease (protein), amylase (starch) and lipase (fat, digesters). They continue to digest and prepare food for assimilation. The alkaline nature of the pancreatic secretions helps to neutralize the stomach acids (which aid in digestion), and protects the small intestine.

Roots, berries and raw meat aren’t exactly our dream of a delicious feast, I know, but this is what the human digestive system was designed to deal with.

These raw foods come with their own supply of enzymes, which are essential not only for digestion, but for life itself. Any farmer knows that soil deficient in enzymes, is soil incapable of supporting life! Every action and reaction in your body is dependent on enzymes, and not only are we getting too few of them in our over-cooked, over-processed foods, but stress, aging, and environmental factors also render them less numerous and less efficient in our bodies.

It is no surprise that digestive problems are a serious concern these days, but not everyone realizes that conditions as seemingly unconnected as asthma and both constipation and diarrhea can be the result of enzyme deficiencies, as can many colon diseases. Ultimate  Enzymes are an excellent way to get the digestive enzymes your body needs for proper digestion and better health.

Enzymes Work!

Do You Want To Feel Healthier?

Do You Eat Cooked or Processed Food?
If the answer is
Yes I Do!
then you need to use enzymes*

Enzymes...a simple way to improve your health
Your digestive tract is not designed to handle the modern American diet of cooked and processed food. Nature intended it to take advantage of the enzymes present in all raw foods.

Enzymes...the Key to Digestion

Your body uses enzymes to digest the food you eat. Two ways you get enzymes to perform this task are externally from the food you eat (food enzymes) and internally from your digestive organs (digestive enzymes). But when your food is cooked or processed at temperatures greater than 118° F, the enzymes in the food are destroyed.

To compensate for these lost food enzymes, your body must work harder and create more digestive enzymes to fully digest your food. If you’ve ever felt sleepy after a meal, it’s because your body is working harder than it should to digest the food you’ve eaten. And when your body has to work harder at digestion, it doesn’t have as much energy to devote to other functions, like protecting itself against foreign invaders (immune function) and making new cells and tissues. When your body compensates for lost enzymes, your health suffers.

Enzymes...Supplementing Digestion

By taking an enzyme supplement with each meal or snack, you’ll replace some of the enzymes lost when food is cooked or processed. You’ll get more nutrition out of your food, allowing your digestive organs to spend less effort on digestion and more energy on keeping your body healthy.

Enzymes...Easing Digestive Concerns

If you have problems with indigestion, gas, bloating, constipation or reflux, a digestive enzyme supplement can help your body break down the foods you eat. When food is broken down more thoroughly, fewer digestive complaints occur.

Most medications taken for digestive discomfort merely mask symptoms without correcting the under-lying cause. If you’re currently taking any over-the-counter or prescription medications, consider switching to digestive enzyme supplements, the natural solution for digestive problems.

Enzymes At Work
Bananna   Bananas arrive in the store green and ripen over time–this is an example of enzymes at work.
Natural enzymes turn that bitter green banana into a sweet yellow banana and eventually a soft black banana.

When you eat a banana, its enzymes will help digest the banana as it passes through your digestive tract.

Every time the food enzymes you ingest break down food, your body has less work to do in the digestive process. Unfortunately, cooking and processing destroy these naturally occurring enzymes and force our bodies to take on the full burden of digestion.
