baby whale by its motherExperience the excitement of whale watching, there is nothing quite like watching, close-up, an enormous marine mammal weighing thousands of pounds frolicking its natural habitat. Alongside the coast, Orcas, Gray whales and Humpbacks ply the waters and perform to their onlookers. Orca Whales frequent the waters all year long. Grey, Humpback and Minke Whales begin to arrive mid-March and usually stay until late into the fall before starting their migration to the southern waters. The Grey Whales seem to be increasing in numbers and it is not uncommon to see pods of whales together. The mainland coast promises the best scenic potential to view these "gentle giant". Humpbacks have an endless supply of food which keeps them quite active in the summer. Take a boat out and witness the splendor of a Grey Whale, or watch a pod of Killer Whales play in the waves.
