For more than half a century guests have been unwinding in our peaceful North Carolina mountain setting. On our rolling green lawns and wooded acres, you'll find fourteen different and distinctively charming cottages. These one, two and four bedroom accommodations offer the comfort of home without the distractions.

Nestled amid the trees and rhododendrons, our lodge provides seclusion and comfort. Situated at 3500 feet elevation in a green valley framed by tall mountain peaks, it is a land of tranquil lakes, spring fed streams, magnificent forests, and the highest waterfalls in Eastern America.

Our ten acres abound with tall pines, hemlocks and stately hardwoods such as oak, maple and poplar. Split-rail fences, native flowering shrubs, wildflowers and inviting walkways enhance the appeal of our mountain retreat. You'll appreciate the many amenities right on the grounds. An enclosed heated outdoor pool. Hard surface tennis court, hammocks, swings and lawn games. Picnic area with pavilion, tables and Dutch ovens. And a small laundromat. The meeting facilities in the lodge are ideal for retreats and family reunions. A guest phone booth is in the central parking area.
