No matter what temperature water you are diving in, scuba wetsuits should be worn. In addition to protecting you from the coldness of the water, a scuba wetsuit provides protection from the sun, and from minor cuts and scrapes. Scuba wetsuits are available from many different scuba wet suit manufacturers in colors, shapes, and sizes to fit every scuba diver's scuba diving wet suit needs. When deciding on your new scuba wetsuit please carefully look at the scuba wet suit sizing charts to determine which scuba diving wet suit is best for you. Also keep in mind that the different companies that make scuba wetsuits have different cuts on their scuba wetsuits, so your size for one scuba wetsuit may not be the same for another scuba diving wet suit.
The water temperature you are planning on diving is important to factor in when purchasing scuba wetsuits. For warm water scuba diving (75-85 degrees) a ½ mm to 3 mm scuba wetsuit should suffice. When diving in temperate water (60-75 degrees) we recommend 4 mm to 6 mm wetsuits. Finally, for cold water (45-60 degrees) we recommend wetsuits that have 6.5 mm to 7 mm thickness. Also, check out our selection of dry suits, they are perfect for cold water diving. If you have any questions about our scuba diving wet suits or our scuba diving dry suits please feel free to contact us.
