Space Filler

I needed to put something in that side margin while I try to fix the poll, so there's a new video up, "My Friends Over You (piano version)". I ripped it from the DVD. The volume starts out low in the beginning because that's how it is on the DVD. If you're still on dial-up, there's an audio link there for you.

Rich Hates Kerrang

"Hit or Miss" is on Kerrang's Best Punk Songs List at #14. "Basketcase" by Greenday took #1.
The writer of the article had this to say about the song..."Why does the singer sing through his nose? Why does the bassist refuse to put a top on? I began to realise I don't care".

It's been a long time since there's been a contest, so here's one.

Save the turkeys

I'd like to send out a special congrats to NGCS' very own Jim and Made In China. They are now officially Ennui Entertainment recording artists. Look for their debut album soon.

And a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, as well.

An Early Easter

The first (maybe there's more?) easter eggs have been found in the DVD by Jimmy. If you don't know what easter eggs are, they're basically hidden secrets (pictures, references, mini-games) that programmers and developers put on DVDs, games, CDs, etc. The hidden tracks on NFG's CDs could be considered easter eggs.
Anyways, on the first menu, click the lighter (under the cord for Jordan's microphone) and it will show a picture of the band. On the second menu, click the "ON" button which will lead to a picture of the band and what appears to be their certified Gold "Sticks and Stones".

Pictures from NFG's Halloween show have been added to the official site.

Where am I Coming From?

Alright I never got to explain exactly what was going on with this layout last night. Basically for the past months or so, I've been going through layout after layout, never satisfied with what I have. Then the DVD release date was approaching, so I whipped together this thing. My intentions in making this design was to make it very clean, easy on the eyes, and very quick loading. Some formatting of the site still needs to be done, but this is basically it. The videography and about links are not supposed to work right now because they are not up yet.

The site is made entirely in CSS, meaning that there is a probability that it won't work correctly in everybody's browser. If this is the case, please leave a comment with your browser name, version, and a short description of what looks wrong. The poll will be back, I found out it does not work correctly.

I was considering putting a graphic of the band somewhere, but I have no clue where to put one that wouldn't seem out of place (if you know a place, suggest it in the comments). In fact any suggestion at all is more than welcomed.

The other sections of the site will be up soon (they're pretty much done, I still need to double-check them all). The NGCS Featured Media section is a new thing obviously. I have acquired many bootleg mp3s of the band from Voodoo and Dave. Every other day, a new mp3 will go up and will stay up for two days (click the more info link for a detailed description on this).
This is going to be an ongoing kind of thing. The first concert up is "Live at the Ranch Bowl in Omaha, NE". Edit: The track listing has been updated, "Better Off Dead" and "Second to Last" are on the same mp3. Please keep in mind that I may not make an annoucement in the news for when a new mp3 will go up, I'll just update the date and track.
For discussion of these tracks or if you missed one, post a message here.

Thank you if you read at least 50% of this.
Love,
Eric

*(Note on the second half of the chapters on DVD selection screen, the chapters go as follows: Special Features, Behind the Scenes, Truth Of My Youth")

Chapter 4: Behind the Scenes
Think about the first DVD and how outrageous that was. Now make it even more outrageous and that is what this chapter is all about. There is just so much stuff in such a short time. This chapter also includes the end credits.

Chapter 5: Truth Of My Youth
A great movie told through the stories of pictures. Using some acoustic tracks, this chapter shows a visual story of the band.
Look for a special someone's tattoo.

Chatper 6: Special Features
Two acoustic tracks for this chapter. IDWK is from some Kerrang thing and ADFH looks to be on their tour bus (Boston maybe?).
01. I Don't Wanna Know (acoustic)
