Qt 4 Preview 2 Highlights Accessibility
Trolltech has announced the availability of the second Qt 4 Technical Preview. Key highlights include support for AT-SPI, bringing accessibility to the Unix and Linux desktop for people with disabilities.

Unix Accessibility Forum 2004
The KDE Accessibility Project is proud to announce the first
Unix Accessibility Forum on 22-23 August 2004 in Ludwigsburg.

A Preview of Qt/KDE Accessibility
Trolltech developer Harald Fernengel announced the development of a Qt-ATK bridge. This will make Qt and KDE applications interoperable with assistive technologies using AT-SPI. The next important step for accessibility on KDE will be to make all custom widgets in KDE fully accessible via this Qt Accessibility Framework.

KDE Statement on FSG Accessibility Workgroup
KDE welcomes the foundation of the Free Standards Group's Accessibility Workgroup.
The goal for this accessibility working group is to define a number of
standards around accessibility. These standards are strongly needed for accessibility
aids to interoperate with each other. Hence, we are happy to participate in the working group.

International Free Software Competition 2003 in Soissons, France
The KDE Accessibility Project is proud to have received a trophy at the international Free Software competition Trophées Du Libre in Soissons, France.
