October 2004
A very wet month, although not as wet as October 2000 for most areas. Mean temperatures generally close to average, with Northern Ireland around one degree below average.
Monthly assessment | Contoured maps | Regional average

Leuchars had its wettest October since records began in 1921. Heavy rain, spring tides and gale force south to south-easterly winds between 27th and 29th, brought flooding to many coastal areas of Cornwall, Devon and Dorset.
