Entrust Fact Sheet

Governments and enterprises are being pressured by their stakeholders to extend greater access to their information and services. At the same time, new legislation is demanding stronger internal controls and information privacy. To be successful requires a delicate balancing act between the desire for increased stakeholder collaboration and productivity, and the need to comply with privacy and governance regulations.

Defensive, perimeter security - while important - is not enough to enable secure, extended enterprises. Organizations are being called upon to implement more proactive security strategies that can securely identify their stakeholders, control access to sensitive records, and protect information both in transit and at rest.

For more than ten years, Entrust has played a leading role in the evolution of secure identity and access management. Through technologies such as encryption, digital signatures, authentication and authorization, Entrust has enabled customers to apply security policies and procedures that protect information and help fulfill regulatory demands, while still empowering users.

What We Do

Securing identities: We help you know who is on the other end of a transaction or communication. Protecting identities and personal information, and determining what level of access or authorization users should have, can create trust and empower individuals to do more.

Securing information: We help you protect the privacy and confidentiality of sensitive information such as corporate records, government data, personal data and e-mail, by allowing only approved people to access certain kinds of information. Verifying that transactions are authentic, unaltered and kept private is necessary to achieve a binding record for accountability. It is also a critical step forward in improving compliance with corporate governance and information security regulations.
