| In order to participate is some of the Audiogon activities, you
will need to register with us. The registration form will require some
personal information, such as your email, name, phone number, and
address. This information is required so that we can reasonably insure
that each registration belongs to a real person or company.
Confidentiality
The information you provide in your registration remains strictly confidential
to all third parties unless legally required. However, if you enter a
binding transaction (win/sell at auction, or send money/item) with another Audiogon
member, then your name and your address will be released to this member. This is
the only case in which your personal information will be available to anyone
other than Audiogon and you. We will not release this information to any
other parties, unless required by applicable laws. Commercial users:

Law enforcement
Audiogon does cooperate with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third
parties to enforce laws, including but not limited to: intellectual property
rights, fraud and other rights. We may (and you authorize us to) disclose any
information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in
our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an
investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity
that is illegal or may expose us or you to legal liability.
Email contacts
Audiogon as a policy does not "sell" email addresses to any third
parties.
Your email address is not displayed anywhere on the site. If someone
wishes to contact you (or you wish to contact another member), the initial
communication is via email, through the Audiogon system. The receiver of
the initial contact will be given the email address of the sender. Unless
the receiver actually responds to the initial contact, the sender will not have
the email address of the receiver. The emails are forwarded from Audiogon
systems, but they are not viewed, except by the sender and receiver. The
system records which members were contacted and by whom, so that sellers are
able to see previous contacts for their ads. Audiogon assumes no responsibility
for lost or misdirected emails, nor do we store emails for later retrieval.
Disclosure of Information.
Due to the current laws of the USA, we cannot ensure that all of your private
communications and other personally identifiable information will never be
disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. By way of
example (without limiting the foregoing), we may be forced to disclose
information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances,
third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private
communications, or users may abuse or misuse your information that they collect
from our Site. Therefore, although we use industry standard practices to protect
your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personally
identifiable information or private communications will always remain private.
